Valentine Fudge Bites


Valentine Fudge Bites
2 cups sugar
5 ounces evaporated milk
10 large marshmallows
½ cup butter
  2 cups milk chocolate chips
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Line an 8x8 inch glass or metal baking dish with wax paper.  In a medium pot, mix sugar and milk. Tear each marshmallow in half and put in one at a time.  Cook on medium heat until marshmallows are melted and mixture is bubbling.  Remove from heat.  Add butter and stir until butter melts.  Add chocolate chips and stir until melted. Add vanilla.  Pour into prepared pan and chill until set.  Cover pan with plastic wrap after fudge has set to prevent it from drying out. Turn block of fudge out onto cutting board.  Using a small heart shaped cookie cutter, cut out fudge and carefully remove heart from cookie cutter.  Individually wrap in a plastic bag and seal with a sticker or tie with a ribbon or assemble a few in a small candy box and tie it up with a pretty ribbon.
